Are you a pastor’s wife? I was.

I started this blog in 2004 when my husband and I had been 2 years at a church in which my husband was serving as solo pastor. My husband resigned from his position in the fall of 2007 after we realized I was experiencing a severe bout of depression. Suffice it to say, it was a tough, tough ministry experience for us (definitely the most difficult in 12 years of ministry). There were lots of wonderful and enriching times too, but it was very challenging.

I started this blog to write about my life in general, but inevitably, stories about my experience as a PW are sprinkled throughout. Since people want to know what happened and since I get emails and comments from other PWs very frequently, I thought I would put together a few relevant links in one place.

My Rock Bottom – This is the post explaining the events leading up to my husband’s resignation and my experience with depression.

Life On the Other Side Part 1 (and Part 2) – I was interviewed by the women at CLUTCH after having been out of ministry for about a year. This is my perspective after some healing and reflection.

Pastors’ Wives Archives – Here are all the posts I’ve written and filed under “Pastors’ Wives” (see category list).

Pastors’ Wives Blog List – This is a list of blogs written by PWs.

Pastors’ Wives Online – This is a forum I started (but have since handed off to some GREAT women) where PWs can meet and connect.

I wish you could start a blog comment with a smile, because that is just what your site makes me do. Pastor wives and all those in her world who love her, hat… uh pray for her, her kids, her husband, and everyone in between (including the family that comes every Christmas and Easter) is my passion. Please take time time to laugh along at my blog. I love the word ‘issues’, it sounds so much nicer than crazy sinners saved by grace, and called by a God who knows just what he is doing. :) I hope you can stop by.
