Copycat Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce recipe

January 15, 2010

I’ll tell you up front that this recipe is full of fat. Oh, but you will not be sorry. This recipe is great because it’s quick, easy, very yummy and it’s meatless. So often, meatless dishes leave me with the feeling like something’s missing. Not so with this. (Well, that’s because you’ll ingest enough fat to last you about 5 months, but whatever. Nothin’ you won’t get in a restaurant.) I find myself reaching for it when I need something quick and I don’t have any meat thawed.

Serve over pasta and pair it with salad and you’re good to go.

Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce (copycat)

2 cups heavy cream

1/2 c. butter

2 Tbsp. cream cheese

1/2 – 3/4 c. grated parmesan cheese

1 tsp. garlic powder

salt & pepper to taste

In saucepan, combine cream, butter and cream cheese. Simmer until melted and mixed well. Add parmesan cheese and garlic powder. Simmer 15-20 minutes on low. Season with salt and pepper.

Serves 4-6.
