After all my blathering, self-pity, whining and carrying on yesterday, one of my dear friends sent me a beautiful email with a line that particularly stood out:
Often what we covet in others would actually never work well in ourselves.
What great wisdom and perspective. And so completely true.

We always compare our best to to other people’s worst OR our worst to other people’s best…either way it is messed up. I totally understand the comparing thing though…still working on it (and I am almost 40!!)
