It’s all grass
Totally unrelated…as I was walking sleepily into the gym this morning, there were a couple of young women walking out. Presumably from having been out all night…out all night while I was at home sleeping and lamenting the fact that I went to bed too late (at 9:50 p.m.). I do believe I have officially Continue reading...
How to add your picture to comments you leave on blogs
Have you ever commented on a blog (like this one) and noticed a “mystery man” (that’s what they’re sometimes called, I’m not being sexist) next to your comment like this?
Perhaps you prefer to remain a mystery, but did ya ever wonder how to get a lovely photo of yourself to show up instead? Well, it’s Continue reading...
A fine mothering moment
So the last several weeks the last year, the baby has been waking up between 2 and 5 times a night. And when I’m aroused from R.E.M. sleep multiple times per night for several nights in a row, I’m a bit…groggy. Go figure.

Giving birth was life-changing all four times, but yours was special Continue reading...
Overheard at our house
The boys’ room has been in need of a major clean-out for a while now. The other day I had the umph, so I started the process.
When I get on these particular purging kicks, I grab a few trash bags, start picking things up off the floor, from behind dressers, from the closet and I Continue reading...
Spelling Bee days
Well, yesterday was the day of my daughter’s Spelling Bee debut. A few thoughts:
She told me yesterday morning that Bethany was going to win because “whenever we have a practice Bee, Bethany always wins.”
Bethany didn’t win.
And did I know that “whoever wins is going to get A TROPHY!?!?!”
No, I did not know that.
Winning a trophy Continue reading...
9 minutes and counting
Alright peeps, I’ve got nine minutes before the troops arise and attack me.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a fun New Year! We enjoyed a visit from my sister and her family as well as my brother from the Naval Academy. It was good to be together.
I’m looking forward to 2009. “Looking Continue reading...
