My daughter was telling us a big, long story about how she got in trouble at school last week for talking in the hall. “It’s so hard not to talk in the hall,” she says. Without skipping a beat, my son says, “Why don’t you practice at home?”

This was our favorite read of the week.  How It’s Made: A Chocolate Bar by Sarah Ridley has lots of photos and interesting tidbits.  It follows the process from growing the cacao trees (cacao trees yield cocoa beans) in Africa to its very yummy end.

Grief is a path, not a destination

I’ve been studying the Sermon on the Mount and I’ve been camping out in the Beatitudes.  I’ve never really studied them in depth, just read over them as though they were an introduction to what Christ really wanted to say.  Boy was I wrong.  I’m beginning to see how they encapsulate the whole message.
