Things I Love Thursday

I’m conducting an experiment and I hope you’ll be my guinea pig join me. I’m going to do a trial run of a “Things I Love Thursday” meme. Here’s how it’s going to work:
Each week I’ll pick a theme (like maybe crock pot recipes or cleaning products or mommy blogs or whatever).
On Thursdays, I’ll write a post about something I love that falls within the current theme. For example, on “Things I Love Thursday: Crock Pot Recipes” day, I’ll scrounge up my very favorite crock pot recipe (or one I especially love) and post it. Because I adore it and I want the world to know. Because I want to shout it from a virtual mountaintop. Because I want to profess my undying love…you get the idea.
Then (hopefully) all of you, will do the same. That is, you’ll find that one crock pot recipe you love and you’ll post it on your blog. Then you’ll come back here, leave a comment with a link to your post and let the rest of us know you’re joining in! (Or if you don’t have a blog, just leave your contribution right in the comments.) Then we all get to see what everyone else loves
What’s the point? Well, just think. It’s like a giant collection of all the best of the best. The cream of the crop. And who doesn’t like that? And who knows, on “Things I Love Thursday: Favorite Hobbies” day, you might just find someone else who shares your love of popping the zits on your teenage son’s back while watching reruns of Mork & Mindy. It could totally happen.
This could be big. Or it could be a big flop if I’m the only one doing it, so I need your help! So, are you game?
OK, here we go. Next week’s (Sept. 4, 2008) “Things I Love Thursday” theme will be children’s picture books. So, spend the next few days thinking about the one picture book you absolutely love. Yes, I know it will be hard to narrow it down to one, but do it anyway. Write a post about it. Then come back here on Thursday and leave a comment with a link to your “Things I Love Thursday” post. Make sense? I’ll look forward to a huge list of the greatest picture books ever!
