Well, the dreams have started. Could be just me but I typically experience weird and/or freakish dreams when I’m pregnant. I’m generally an active dreamer (like I terrorize my husband in my sleep on a regular basis) but pregnancy kicks it up quite a few notches. Not to mention the fact that I always wake up swearing it was real.
So the other night I go into labor. It was clear we weren’t going to make it to the hospital so delivery was up to Brian. He did an excellent job, as I would expect, but as he caught the baby, he was most perplexed. “Uh…it’s…uh…it’s a squirrel.”
“Oh great. First of all, how did THAT happen? But most importantly, how will we ever explain this one to people at church?”

Not possible. It was a chipmunk I ran over, not a squirrel. DO YOU NOT LOVE ME ENOUGH TO KEEP MY TRAUMATIC EVENTS STRAIGHT?!?!
I don’t mean to laugh because I know when I have weird dreams I don’t find them funny. But I did laugh when I just read this. I think I probablly would of woke up screaming! I enjoy you blog very much!
I dream a lot as well. I had freakish dreams while I was pregnant, well all the time really. But with pregnancy they changed so much so that when my dreams increased in weirdness I knew I was pregnant.
I dreamt that my son was born a cocker spaniel–hairy face and all.
I’m just laughing my head off… no apologies here. Hehehe. I love funky dreams.
I had a similar dream that an acquaintance had an advaark instead of a baby. To make matters worse, she dressed it up in baby clothes and commented all the time on her cute baby.
